In this unique combined degree program, youÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓƵÈí¼þ™ll build solid scientific foundations in PaceÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓƵÈí¼þ™s BS in Biology before embarking on the MSc in Ecology and Society, an immersive graduate program at the University for Peace in Costa Rica. In addition to engaging in meaningful hands-on research in one of the worldÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓƵÈí¼þ™s most diverse ecological landscapes, youÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓƵÈí¼þ™ll finish both degrees in just five years.
Engage in Ecological Problem-Solving
- Gain a deep understanding of ecological theory and analyses and their applications to the development of solutions to real-world challenges.
- Engage in robust research opportunities at both the undergraduate and graduate level alongside internationally recognized biology and ecology scientists.

Opportunities and Experiences
Undergraduate research at Pace: As an undergrad, youÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓƵÈí¼þ™ll have the opportunity to conduct independent laboratory research at a level typically reserved for graduate students using resources normally only found at large research institutions.
Graduate thesis in Costa Rica: In the graduate portion of the program, youÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓƵÈí¼þ™ll work with a faculty mentor on a professional-level thesis, which includes immersive, on-location study in unique field sites such as the Osa Peninsula, the Monteverde Cloud Forest region in Puntarenas, the Maquenque National Refuge in the Northern Zone, the numerous managed forests within driving distance of the University, and the campusÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓƵÈí¼þ™s own forest.
